chicken stock - freshly made, about 2 ltrcarrot
large onion
large leak
large selery stick
about 90gr of pearl barley
parsley
garlic
radish or sweede
1 cabbage
about 400gr of frozen peas
400gr lamb neck fillet (or other)

Cut onion in small chunks, put into a large pan and sweat until translusent. Add cut celery, carrot, leak and fry for about 7 min.In a separate pot bring lamb to boil with a few bay leaves. After 10min, remove the lamb from the pot, discard water and inpurities.
Cut lamn into bite size pieces, add to vegetables. Add chicken stock, salt and pepper and couple of bay leaves. Boil on a medium heat for 30/40 min. After that add pearl barley, cut sweed or radish. Let it boil until barley is ready - about 45 min. Add shreded cubbage, frozen peas. Bring to boil and boil for 5 min or so. Remove from the heat, squeeze a garlic clove into the soup, put some chopped parsley in and leave to rest, covered. Serve with chopped fresh parsley or dill or both. Cook in advance - it needs infusing time.
